EVERY STRAIN HAS A STORY : CASINO

Casino is a collaboration of Cannabis Culture from the East and West coast. Legend has it that in the late 90’s the OG Kush was brought to Los Angeles California from South Florida. A small group of cultivators in LA started working with the OG and within a few years started to produce multiple genetic expression possibly due to hybridization. During this era the creation of legendary gassy profiles was abundant and new varieties such as SFV OG and the HPK, also known as Hollywood Pure Kush started to show up in the right circles. The HPK was a staple strain at a small medical dispensary in Malibu and enthusiasts from all over LA would often make the drive to get a certified batch. Decades later in 2022 we rolled out the Permanent Marker strain and it went to become Hightimes Magazine strain of the Year. Cassh Rules is a boutique cannabis lifestyle brand based in NYC and whenever we get the chance to sesh it up and cross reference some ideas we definitely do so. When Cassh told me that he would like to see an even gassier version of Perm with more pressure and the kind of potency that made your head sweat I took note. Nearly a year later, after extensive in house testing we found a phenotype that fit the bill. Casino is the Hollywood Pure Kush cut pollinated by a brother of the Permanent Marker and was originally created by Seed Junky Jbeezy. When I first smelled the Casino I was excited; the HPK has always been one of my favorite OG cuts and it definitely dominates the nose and taste on this cross. The traits from the brother of Perm show up throughout the profile, manifesting primarily as a subtle sweet sherbet that enhances the fuel from the Pure Kush and accentuates the slightly lemony lawnmower gas that OG lovers dream about. The potency on the Casino is highly effective and powerful smoke will leave your forehead tingling and your tastebuds asking for more. I personally love the Casino and it is my primary smoke as I’m writing this. This strain will be dropping in select locations in California and New York but I’m proud to say that it’s dropping first at Doja Direct. The batch is small so please enjoy it while it lasts.
